A private doctor, in the way Veltracon Medical arranges it, is a physician from our network chosen for your case: for a consultation today, for a treatment in Switzerland next month, for the ongoing care of a condition. You reach the coordination around the clock, in your language; the doctor sees you in the clinic, by video call or, in the Longevity membership, at your home.
It is not a private GP practice with a waiting room, and it is not a walk-in clinic. It is not a doctor employed by Veltracon Medical: the physicians in the network operate independently, and we are not a healthcare provider. What we add is the access, the selection and the coordination: specialists chosen for your case rather than for what happens to be nearby.
Our membership is not only designed for emergency situations but also offers you the highest standard of routine or specialized care.

- The physicianWe choose the doctor from the network: a specialist in Switzerland through our preferred access to private clinics, a preferred medical expert in the country you are in, or a Swiss or German doctor by video call, with diagnosis, treatment options and prescriptions.

Our network in Switzerland, and your time zone
The network started in Switzerland: the Swiss Private Clinics Network, founded in 2005, is still the largest independent medical clinic network in the country and gives members preferred access to private clinics and specialists across Switzerland, from preventive check-ups to surgery and long-term care. That is what a private doctor in Switzerland means here: not one practice, but the right specialist for the case.
The 24/7 medical hotline is reachable from any time zone; in an emergency the same organisation deploys evacuation teams or organises a medical repatriation. For a structured check-up there is the executive health check, for prevention over years longevity medicine. For a doctor on standby for the duration of a stay, in Dubai for example, our sister brand Shadow ICU provides a doctor on call.
How the work is paid for
Swiss private medical care, the global network of medical specialists and telemedicine are part of the Holistic membership; the Longevity membership adds expert home consultations, fast-track appointments and medical history management. Veltracon Medical is an annual membership with an onboarding fee.
The membership pays for the coordination and the access. The actual services following a virtual assessment or service proposal are not included in the membership: the consultation, the examination or the treatment is charged by the doctor or clinic who provides it.

The Swiss Private Clinics Network was founded in 2005 and is still the largest independent medical clinic network in Switzerland. Veltracon Lifestyle was co-founded in 2015 by Patrick Gruhn and Tim Daum. Veltracon Medical is a brand of Veltracon Lifestyle AG.
What is a private doctor?
A physician you consult privately and who is available to you personally. Through Veltracon Medical, that physician comes from a curated network in Switzerland and worldwide, and the appointments and the treatment are coordinated by us around the clock.
Is a private doctor through Veltracon Medical a private GP service?
Not in the sense of a practice with a waiting room. Veltracon Medical arranges the physician who suits your case, from a video call with Swiss and German doctors to a specialist in a Swiss private clinic. We coordinate; the doctors operate independently.
Can I have a private doctor in Switzerland if I live abroad?
Yes. Members receive preferred access to private clinics and specialists across Switzerland, with appointments and travel arranged around them. Between visits, telemedicine with Swiss and German doctors covers diagnosis, treatment options and prescriptions.
Does the doctor come to my home with a Veltracon Medical membership?
Expert home consultations are a service of the Longevity membership: medical specialists come to your home or any location of your choosing.
Can Veltracon Medical work with my existing doctors?
Yes. Your existing doctors remain yours; the network adds what they cannot provide locally.
What happens in an emergency with a Veltracon Medical membership?
The same membership includes the 24/7 medical hotline: medical coordinators, emergency doctors, evacuation teams and medical repatriation, worldwide.
What do consultations cost with a Veltracon Medical membership?
The access is part of the membership, an annual subscription with an onboarding fee; consultations and treatments are charged by the doctor or clinic that provides them. Membership does not substitute for comprehensive health insurance.
